Throughout the program year, RMSER’s teaching staff implements the Creative Curriculum. This curriculum is based on valid science-based research and standardized training procedures, and curriculum materials to support implementation. It also promotes school readiness in the areas of language and cognitive development, early reading and math skills, social-emotional development, physical development and approaches to learning and is aligned with the Head Start Child Outcomes Framework.

THS Preschool

Trinidad High School Pre-school is an official pre-school program of the Trinidad School District. It was started over thirty years ago and has developed both as a great pre-school program, as well as a wonderful learning opportunity for high school students to develop skills in early childhood education.

High school students taking Early Childhood 101 and 102 are active teachers in the preschool with the supervision of the director. The High school students plan, prepare and carry out developmentally appropriate activities for the children at the preschool.
