Trinidad High School
Welcome to Trinidad High School, where you will find a rigorous and relevant educational setting in beautiful Trinidad, Colorado. Students from 9th to 12th grade are enrolled in core, career & technical classes during a seven period day which runs from 7:55-4:00, Monday through Thursday.
Honor classes are available in English, Science, and Mathematics. Our dual credit offerings through Trinidad State Junior College are in the Language Arts, Mathematics, Spanish, and Psychology areas. Enrichment classes consist of Marching, Concert, and Jazz Band; Choir; Spanish I-IV; Business Courses; Computers; Drama; Art; Sports Psychology; Woods, Early Childhood, Health, (which uses the WAIT program as part of its curriculum), and Auto Mechanics.
We have an active Student Council; Speech/Debate Team; Key Club; FBLA; and FCCLA. THS students participate in: football, volleyball, boy's and girl's golf, basketball, and track; cheerleading, wrestling, baseball, and girl's soccer.
Our staff is filled with caring, compassionate, dedicated and highly qualified educators; many of whom are alumni who have a genuine vested interest in the success of THS students.
We have a quality Special Education program that serves our students. In conjunction with Colorado's R.T.I. (Response to Intervention) we have developed a multi-tiered intervention approach that is aimed at meeting the learning needs of ALL students at THS.
