Community Resources

The City of Trinidad in Las Animas County has a rich and storied history. As a major transit point on the famous Santa Fe Trail, Trinidad is one of the most authentic of the old western towns.

Cowboys, ranchers, and miners made Trinidad famous in the early 1900s. More recently, economic resurgence spurred by the natural gas industry, historic restoration efforts, new housing communities, and recreational and cultural venues have created a foundation for a an exciting period of creative development in the days ahead.
