Eckhart Elementary School: Parental Involvement

Research shows that family involvement is a powerful influence on children's achievement in school. Children receive higher grades, higher scores on tests, complete more homework, demonstrate more positive attitudes and behaviors at school and home, and attend school more regularly when families are involved in their children's education.

Each registration packet filled out at the beginning of the year includes a Parent Volunteer Form.

There are several ways to be involved at Eckhart such as:

• Join our P.T.O.
• Help plan and organize our yearly carnival
• Help with the book fair
• Volunteer in your child's classroom
• Help with fundraiser events
• Family Literacy Night
• and many more . . . .

If at any time during the year your volunteer status changes, please feel free to request a new volunteer form at the front office.
