Trinidad, the Victorian Jewel of Southern Colorado, lies on the Colorado / New Mexico border, just off of I-25 and along the Santa Fe Trail. Trinidad is extremely rich in its infamous history and culture. Brick-paved streets are still lined with grand Victorian homes built in the late 1800's. As our #1 designation implies, we are indeed the oldest and first school district in Colorado. Old as we are, our vision is to "Continuously Raise the Bar" in our expectations of our students, staff, and our supporting community as we prepare our kids for an ever-changing global community where learning is life-long and hopefully fun, instilled with a strong sense of passion and curiosity.
