Key Goals and ObjectivesOur goals are very simple and focused:
Student achievement is our #1 priority. TSD #1 is making significant improvements in student achievement. Our focus has been building a collaborative culture of learning, where teachers work together in small professional learning communities (PLC’s) focused on tailoring educational instruction to the diverse needs of their individual students. It goes without saying that the safety of our students each and every day is just as critical an ongoing priority. The District is constantly updating and revising crisis response plans and is focused on analyzing and improving overall discipline issues in our schools. Even during tough budget times the District’s financial reserves are healthy and we are continuously improving operational efficiencies such as food service, so that more money can be spent directly on our educational needs. An example of one of our top commitments is to improve the instructional use of technology to improve student achievement.
