Congratulations to the Trinidad High School boys’ and girls’ basketball teams for qualifying for the CHSAA Class 2A State Tournament! The playoffs begin in the regional round of 32 teams on Friday, 3/6.
For the first time in ten years, the Miner boys will head to the tournament as the 20th seed. They will meet #13 Plateau Valley at Twin Peaks Classical Academy in Longmont, CO.
And for the third consecutive season, the THS girls have qualified for the tournament, this year as the 19th seed. They are set to take on the #14-ranked Swink Lions at Sanford High School.
There will be a police escort for both teams as they leave town, starting at Donnelly Gym:
Boys’ send off – Thursday, 3/5 at 1:30p
Girls’ send off – Friday, 3/6 at 3:00p
