Dearest Ashleigh:
Hope you are doing well! We can't thank you enough for continuing to send us top high school students from the Trinidad area. We especially love hearing how you have helped these students in their educational and personal journeys. We are so proud to call you a PLP alum and admire the way you are making such an impact in your southern Colorado hometown.
Therefore, it is my pleasure to let you know that we will be honoring you with our "Pay It Forward" Award that we give to outstanding PLP alums. The Pay It Forward Award is granted on a periodic basis to honor alumni contributions to the development of community leadership and personal achievement. First given in 2014, the award recognizes a former scholar's willingness to "pay it forward" in a leadership role. We always present this award at our annual CHL Graduate Recognition Night Dinner, which will be held on Wednesday evening, May 13th, beginning at 6:00 pm, at the Pueblo Country Club. We hope that you are able to attend and we welcome guests that you would like to bring with you as well.
We congratulate you, Ashleigh, and ask that you please email us an updated bio and/or resume, plus a recent picture, that can be put in our event program. We haven't yet told Riley Pachelli, one of our graduating seniors and a former student of yours, that you will be receiving this award, but we know she will be thrilled!
